It can be difficult for busy nonprofit organizations to look away from day-to-day management and pause long enough to examine operations, communications and relationships. Many nonprofits experience internal conflict - confusion, transitions and diversions that can dilute the mission, but they can’t make time to plan or resolve multiple expectations.  Many just need an experienced and objective set of eyes and hands to help accomplish a task or attack a challenge.

The underlying structure of most nonprofits is the same, dictated by law and custom; but the components that make up that structure, the services provided by nonprofits, and the way those services are offered and delivered, are as diverse as the needs they address.   The unique culture of an organization, the very special desire to provide specific services, comes from its people - the personalities that provide the passion to drive your mission. 

With years of experience assisting nonprofit organizations of many varieties, I can offer consultation, project management, training and workshops, and hands-on services to help examine and plan; communicate and execute your mission within its unique culture.

I can work with board and staff to analyze needs and discover solutions.  Whenever necessary, I can call on other professionals with experience in many fields, who can help to demystify and untangle the vast amounts of information and resources available to nonprofit professionals and boards of directors.

I have worked professionally with nonprofit organizations for almost 25 years – from all sides of the equation. For the last eleven years, as a management consultant, I have served mostly small to mid-sized nonprofits in the areas of planning, board training, retreat and meeting facilitation, fund development, workshops, volunteer program development and the staples of grant writing and research.
