    •    Beginning with a level of free access, and then through various subscription levels, not only can you find financial and general management info on specific organizations, but links, training and resources for a huge number of nonprofit management issues.  
    •    A wonderful source for nonprofit articles of all sorts, accessed from a monthly e-newsletter.
    •    I use this database more than any other to find information on nonprofits of all kinds.

  • The Foundation Center:  www.fdncenter.org
    •    One of  the most popular search engines for foundations and a great source for grantwriting information and training.
    •    You can subscribe to the Foundation Directory Online at various levels.
    •    Monthly e-newsletters are available for specific categories of grants:  Education Funding Watch, Health Funding Watch, Arts Funding Watch, etc.
    •    There is a short proposal writing course online and information geared to children and youth, international visitors, people with disabilities…many other topics.
    •    There is an extensive list of links to nonprofit resources of all kinds.

  • Grant Gopher: www.grantgopher.com
    •    Another database format that can be useful for researching grants sorted by topics and geographical areas.

  • Noza:  www.nozasearch.com
    •    Billed as the world’s largest searchable database of charitable gifts.
    •    Includes corporations as well as foundations.
    •    Both free and subscription access.

  • Grants.gov: www.grants.gov
    •    This is the place to find and apply for federal government grants.

  • Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance: www.cfda.gov
    •    This site catalogs federal programs available to state and local governments.  You can search by program keyword to see if a program has been funded for a specific area.  (CDBG, LLEBG)

  • Americans for the Arts - Cultural Commons:  www.artsusa.org
    •    Policy and Advocacy; Research; Information; and the Arts Alert newsletter; very useful.

  • Grantmakers in the Arts: www.giarts.wordpress.com
    •    Links to an array of information on the arts at national and state levels; arts in education; funding trends.
    •    Some very informative blog links including one I have read a lot recently: Economic Turmoil and Change.

    •    “The technology place for nonprofits”
    •    A membership site with an extensive stock of donated and discounted technology products for nonprofits and public libraries.
    •    Extensive Learning Center with information and training; Community Forums and Articles.
